Bookings for Sportives or other mass participation events will be made on the Active.com booking platform and/or the britishcycling.org.uk website and any specific terms and conditions for those events will be published there.
Bespoke event bookings will normally only be accepted from adults over the age of 18 years. If you are a group or family with members under 18 please inform Ciaovelo (us/we) at the earliest instance and we will endeavour to accommodate your group. A booking will be made by the following steps.
Deposit payments are normally only refundable if we are unable to fulfill the services described for your reservation at www.ciaovelo.co.uk/"bookingname". In this instance a full refund will be made. The remaining balance of the booking is to be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to the event commencement. Bookings made within 8 weeks of the event commencing are to be paid in full at the time of booking.
Cancellation by Ciaovelo
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a booking you will be offered the choice of an alternative or a full refund unless the cancellation is beyond our control or that which we could not have foreseen and include but not limited to war, civil war, industrial dispute, terrorist act, natural or nuclear disaster, fire and adverse weather. Any offer of a refund or an alternative in these circumstances is at our discretion.
Cancellation by you
Cancellation by you must be made by letter, email or in person to Ciaovelo. We reserve the right to charge the following maximum cancellation fees however, we will endeavour to sell the trip place to limit your loss.

Insurance and Public Liability
Ciaovelo events are registered and insured (public liability) with British Cycling. It is the resposibility of individual customers to provide cycle, personal and/or travel insurance and/or EHIC card. We reserve the right to view your policy documents prior to allowing you to participate in an event.
We will endeavour to adhere to cycling routes and itineraries described on this website however, they are subject to change due to adverse weather, acts of war, terrorism, natural or nuclear disaster or customer ability
A participant by way of making a payment by any of the above mentioned methods agrees to these terms and conditions and that they are physically and mentally capable of completing the distances described at the time of booking. All participants accept that any Ciaovelo Sportive, tour or event is not a race in any format and anyone considered competing against others will be stopped and may be unable to complete the route or event. It is mandatory that everyone participating in any sportive, tour or event wears a safety cycling helmet complying with the latest EN1078, ANSI Z90/4 or SNELL standards. It is the participants responsibility to ensure that their cycle is in a suitable roadworthy condition. It is the responsibility of all participants to obey all highway rules of the country that they are in along with all laws and local bylaws. Ciaovelo is not responsible for loss or damage to participants cycles and other property during events and they are used, stored or transported at the owners risk. Should any participant fail to complete a route they should at the earliest opportunity notify the event controller or representative. Any costs incurred due to unnecessary search and rescue procedures may be chargeable.
Ciaovelo and its suppliers endeavour to treat all of its customers equally and without prejudice in a polite and reasonable manner at all times. Should you feel that you have not been treated appropriately or that the services provided are not as described on your reservation please contact the Ciaovelo representative at the event in the first instance. Should the dispute not be resolved then contact Ciaovelo by email or telephone.
Ciaovelo reserve the right to terminate any individuals participation should they act in an aggressive manner, harm, act illegally or cause damage to any Ciaovelo (or its suppliers) staff or property
